Anyone else feel like the Christmas season is a whirlwind? Parties, plays, special programs, dinners, presents, wrapping, decorating, moving the elf…and the list goes on….and on…. It’s all so much fun! If you’re not careful, though, you may end up paying a price for it–a dreaded Christmas cold or flu and/or a couple extra inches around the waistline. Join with me and make a game plan for staying healthy this Christmas season. In the midst of the busyness, be sure to make time for rest, regular exercise, and healthy eating. Sample the sugary delicacies, but don’t go overboard. Consider getting your flu shot (we are actually seeing flu cases in our community currently) and COVID vaccine or booster. “Just say no” when you feel stressed and overcommitted. Instead, choose to focus on what is really most important. Isn’t that what this whole season is about anyway? Last but not least, don’t forget to wash your hands!
